How to Handle a Delay Without Losing Your Mind!

Sometimes, there are delays in projects, no matter what happens! Here’s a few pieces of advice to get you ready for delays in the renovation.

Firstly, it’s super important to remain calm. Backorders are common for some building materials, so being understanding about it can help to relieve overall anxiety about the project. It’s normal to be stressed throughout a renovation, but making efforts to remain calm keeps the project going smoothly, and more importantly, keeps you stress-free.

Potentially pivot! Penn keeps our clients constantly updated, and sometimes if a tile or a piece of furniture is on backorder, sometimes the best idea is to change the selection to a different option. There are countless options of any material, so pivoting to another selection, while stressful, can be 100% worth it and could potentially be what your space needed in a different way!

Unfortunately, sometimes the best option is to wait out the delay, and the project can move ahead in different areas. If there is a delay in shipment, our team will work in a different area of the project until the material comes. But it’s completely normal! Our team has experience with working with and around delays, so it is nothing to overly stress about.

Setbacks are rare, but our team knows how to guide homeowners through the process and help alleviate the pressures of the renovation delays!
