Happy Holidays from Penn Construction & Design! We know it’s cold out, but here are a few ideas to fully enjoy this December!
Firstly, a great idea is to go ice skating. At City Hall, there is the Rothman Ice Rink, which is the perfect place for families to ice skate and enjoy Philadelphia! It’s open everyday of the week, with Monday through Thursday open 12pm to 9pm, Friday 12pm to 11pm, Saturday 11:30am to 11pm, and Sunday 11:30am to 9pm. Museums are a great way to get out of the house, but stay warm out there! There are countless in Philadelphia, with exhibits that are perfect for families with children of any and all ages! For younger children, the Please Touch Museum is a perfect choice, and for children of any age, the Franklin Institute is a great choice, filled with interesting topics that are interesting to both children and adults. The Liberty Bell is a great choice, and a great way to look back upon America’s history. Similar to the Liberty Bell, the Museum of the American Revolution is another great way to learn about the history of the country. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is also an excellent choice, filled with art throughout history, and a great way to look at early American art!
Outside of the city, Longwood Gardens is a great way to embrace nature and look at some beautiful gardens. Located in Kennett Square, it’s over 1,100 acres to explore. It includes an Arboretum, and fountains to enjoy. During the holiday season, the Gardens put up lights for patrons to enjoy as well. Click the link to book your tickets! https://longwoodgardens.org/
If you really love the outdoors, a hike is an incredible idea! Pennsylvania is home to countless trails, and with snow, the views can be breathtaking. From soups to baked goods, it’s a great way to bond as a family and to enjoy good food together!
