Make Your Kitchen Renovation Personal & Unique

In kitchen renovations, the overall aesthetic is important, but so are small details. There are many ways to add details that completely transform your overall project.

A bold tile is always an incredible choice. There are many types of tile that can add a perfect touch to a space. Especially with white cabinetry, having tiling can really elevate a space to the next level. Currently, herringbone and penny tile are both extremely popular, and they both have many color options. Herringbone is a lovely choice, and here are a few links, green ceramic tile, polished blue ceramic tile, cotto porcelain tile, & mint green glossy tile. Here are a few penny tiles: cloudy gray porcelain tile, sky blue porcelain tile, & thunderstorm porcelain tileAdditionally, you can always add a pretty grout color as well, and that also adds another small detail that can make a space much more personable and fun.

Mixing metals isn’t just for jewelry, it can be perfect in newly renovated kitchens. There are countless good combinations, and here are a few: brass and stainless steel, brass and polished nickel, copper and stainless steel, & black and brass. It’s a great way to add more details to a kitchen.

Dark cabinetry is a great way to personalize a kitchen. White and light cabinets have been a trend for decades, and as time passes, it’s a great idea to do a dark color, and not just a dark wood. Some color ideas include forest green, navy blue, or charcoal cabinets, which add much more personalization to a space.

Statement lighting is also an excellent choice. It can  make a kitchen incredibly unique, while also elevating the space, and to make the kitchen a work of art. You can do pendant lighting over the island, flush or semi-flush throughout the kitchen, or a small chandelier over the island. Here are a few links to some truly unique and beautiful options: Matte Black Pendant Light, White Pendant Light, Lantern Pendant, Maroon Metal Pendant Light, Black Glass Semi-Flush, Opal Glass Flush, & Semi-Flush Rattan and Soft Brass.

Kitchen islands are incredibly common, but you can add unique features to personalize yours. People add bookshelves, wine coolers, or a built-in pet food area. Another way to personalize it is to make the island counters a contrasting color to the rest of your cabinets.
