Hey everyone! It’s Dan from Penn Construction + Design, and I am here at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. After the long 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic, it’s so great to be here and see the buzz in the air as the building industry comes together again. And let me tell you, it’s a party! There are five co-located exhibits this year such as the NAHB International Builders’ Show, Las Vegas Winter Market, National Hardware Show, The International Surface Event, and the NKBA Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. It’s a blessing that we’re able to take advantage of everything the building industry has to offer in one place.
Yesterday, I got to attend a few keynote speeches and was blown away by the insights and visions shared by some of the biggest names in the industry. It’s so inspiring to be surrounded by professionals who are just as passionate about building and design as I am.
But the real fun has been the opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry. I’ve been chatting with reps from building material suppliers, other design and construction firms, and even a few architects. It’s amazing to see how everyone is coming together after such a tough year and sharing their experiences and best practices.
And the products and technology on display here? Whoa! From 3D printing to prefabrication to the latest in smart home technology, I’ve been completely in awe of the advancements in our field. I can’t wait to bring back some of these ideas to Penn Construction + Design and see how we can implement them in our own projects.
